Meet Jason Charles
Born and raised in the Charleston area, Jason Charles founded Charleston Mulching with a simple mission: provide the best land clearing services in the Lowcountry while being good stewards of the environment.
With over 15 years of experience in land management and forestry, Jason saw an opportunity to bring modern forestry mulching technology to Charleston. Unlike traditional clearing methods that require burning, hauling, and multiple pieces of heavy equipment, forestry mulching is a single-pass process that's faster, cleaner, and better for the land.
“I started this business because I believe there's a better way to clear land,” says Jason. “Our clients get a beautifully cleared property, and the land gets to keep its topsoil and nutrients. It's a win-win.”
When he's not on a job site, Jason enjoys fishing in the Charleston harbor, coaching his kids' sports teams, and volunteering with local conservation groups.
